1992
I was born in Alabama September of '92. Growing up there gifted me with an appreciation for the simpler things in life, like the irresistible allure of a home-cooked Southern meal, the simple joy of front porch gatherings, and the delightful quirks of our unique Southern dialect. There's truly something special about the charm and warmth of Alabama living that I hold close to my heart.
2011
Fresh out of high school, I took the leap into adulthood by marrying my high school sweetheart and embarking on a new chapter in a different state. It may sound like a whirlwind, but it's a decision I made with full awareness of its unconventional nature.
2011 – 2016
Back in 2011, my husband and I made the move to Fort Walton Beach, Florida, setting the stage for a new chapter in our lives. During our time in Florida, I had the privilege of serving as a manager at Aeropostale, where I thrived in the creative realm of setting up floor sets and honing my skills in visual merchandising. However, as Aeropostale bid farewell to the area, I transitioned to a role with a wedding planning company. There, I discovered a new passion, learning to excel under pressure while maintaining precise attention to detail—a valuable skill set that continues to serve me well.
2016 – 2021
In 2016, my husband and I embarked on an adventure that took us to Albersbach, Germany, and those five years became a transformative chapter in our lives. It was an incredible journey for two small-town souls, as we had the opportunity to travel to 30 countries, immerse ourselves in various languages, and deeply engage with diverse cultures. Amidst these enriching experiences, my passion for design was ignited, prompting me to embark on a college journey in pursuit of a Graphic Design degree. Those years abroad not only broadened my horizons but also set me on a path of creativity and exploration that continues to inspire me today.
2021 – 2023
Optimistically looking towards Washington D.C., circumstances took a turn when my husband's job relocated us to Enid, Oklahoma. Determined to pursue my academic goals, I embarked on a search for nearby educational opportunities, which led me to Oklahoma State University. With perseverance and dedication, I commuted a total of three hours each day for five semesters to attend classes. Eventually, our journey took another exciting twist as my husband secured a new position in Washington D.C., leading us to our next chapter.
2023 – 2024
In the summer of 2023, our journey took us from Enid, Oklahoma to the vibrant pulse of Washington D.C. Once we found our footing and unpacked near the capital, I made the decision to relocate to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to ensure proximity to my school and complete my final two semesters with ease. As May 2024 approaches, I eagerly anticipate transitioning to D.C. full-time, fueled by the hope of securing a position in the dynamic world of graphic design, where I can contribute my talents to a collaborative and innovative team.
